Why do I need to get my business on the map?
Whenever you do a search for a product or service locally, the Google My Business listing pops straight out at you with the Google Map right above.
You know instantly that the business listings you see are LOCAL, you can see the exact location on the map, and you can get the contact details and act on them.
So if you have a bricks and mortar business which services a local area, then Google My Business is an essential platform to help people find you.
Do I have to have a website to get my business on the map?
There is no strict requirement that you need to have a website to profit from having a Google My Business placing. However, having a website linked to Google My Business is a great way to get your goods and services in front of people who are searching right now for them.
What if I am already listed on Google My Business?
That’s great that you’ve taken the first steps! Now we need to check if your listing is appearing for the correct search terms, or indeed, if it is appearing at all!
We can optimise your listing so that it is found for the correct keywords, and help you get good reviews which will push your listing into the Google 3 Pack.
How long will it take to get my business registered?
The process initially takes about three weeks for Google to respond to the initial listing claim. They send a card containing an activation code to your physical address.
Once we have the code, we can begin the process in earnest, optimising, updating details, and linking to your website.
Your listing could take a further 30 days to appear but we will be constantly working to ensure that that we get your there!
